Privacy notice
Privacy notice
Version pn-v1-2026-10-27. This notice covers the Register Interest form on this website.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is GrassrootsDriven, operated by the person named here when registration opens.
Privacy contact: shown here when registration opens.
Registration is not open yet, so no details are being collected through this website.
What we collect
When you register interest we keep:
- your club or team name, your name, your email address and your country;
- whether you ticked the separate, optional box for product news, with the time you ticked it and the version of its wording ("Yes, GrassrootsDriven may also email me occasional product news. I can withdraw this at any time.");
- when you registered, and a status we set as we review registrations (interested, shortlisted, invited, active or withdrawn);
- for abuse control only, a one-way, salted hash of your internet (IP) address. We never store the address itself, and the hash cannot be turned back into it.
We do not ask for players' details, and the form has no file upload. This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics and loads nothing from other services.
Why we use it, and on what basis
- To assess your registration and contact you about the founding beta. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a small, controlled beta, and taking steps you have asked for before any agreement with your team.
- To keep the form free of spam and abuse (the IP hash and short-lived rate-limit counters). Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the service.
- To send occasional product news, only if you ticked the separate box. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by emailing the privacy contact. Withdrawing does not affect your registration.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for automated decisions about you.
How long we keep it
We keep registrations until 12 months after the founding beta closes, unless you ask us to delete yours sooner. Rate-limit counters are deleted within a few days. If your team joins the beta, what happens to your club's data is set out in the written agreement with your club.
Who else handles it
The website, its form and the stored registrations are hosted by Netlify, Inc., which processes the data for us as our processor. Netlify is based in the United States, so your data may be transferred to and stored there. Netlify provides safeguards for such transfers in its data processing agreement, such as standard contractual clauses. We do not share your data with anyone else, unless the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive it in a portable form. You can withdraw your consent to product news at any time. To use any of these rights, email the privacy contact above. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk, or to the data protection authority in the country where you live.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we use your data, we will update this notice and its version number.
